11 years agoHello Court. It was nice to talk with you today. Keep up the good work. A couple of points I would like to play up that should be of interest. You often talk of our mid level components which puzzles me. Our Shimano Nexis Hub is top of the line and is incredibly reliable. Our dealers would tell you that our bikes have the least of problems of any they purchase. They don’t come back.
Our strength in is our internal hubs and the fact that we distribute the weight and distribute the work load of the wheels. That results in a more comfortable ride and better battery distance than our competitors. For quality these bikes can compete with the best. Not always the best brakes or shocks but we are not selling mountain bikes.
On the folding bike you mention (cons) the tricky mid frame joint. This is actually a positive because it has a double locking mechanism that can not come apart with out lifting the locking arm first. (safety) Overall I think you are quite objective and fair in your reviews. Look forward to the next one.
All the best

3 years agoHi Al, you might need a locksmith or lockpick set to get your battery off because it appears that the company has gone out of business. Sorry to relay this bad news… I think you could also work with a company such as FTH Power if you need to replace the battery by re-packing the cells, but it may not be worth the price considering this was a value ebike to begin with.
