9 years agoHello, I have the 2015 version of this bike and it’s a great mountain bike, I have been looking at the 2016 Izip E3 Dash for a commuter, I wonder if the batteries are interchangeable.

9 years agoHi Marco! I’m almost certain that they are… I’m here at the IZIP/Raleigh outlet in SoCal test riding bikes and I see batteries swapped between the different models frequently, in this case I believe the two use the same motor (just with different firmware to allow high speed on the Dash). If your pack says 48 volt 8.7 amp hours and uses the 2 amp charger with the little metal circle plug and the 3 pins then it is very likely the same battery :)

3 years agoI have the Raleigh TEKOA, 1800 miles, and am only getting 12 miles range on my second battery. Do I need to buy a third battery, or is there some warranty? At this point it is costing $1 per mile to ride

3 years agoHmm, that seems pretty low. Perhaps the batteries are just old and have limited capacity at this point (batteries do age). Over time, as you use a battery more times, the capacity can also reduce. I’m not sure if Raleigh still sells these battery packs, so unfortunately the bike might be nearing the end of its lifespan without upgrading the pack using a service like FTH Power offers, where they repack some batteries. I’m not sure if they could repack yours or not?
