8 years agoHey Court,
Thanks for this review. Your site is so helpful.
Can I ask if your opinion on whether this is a good bike for commuting? My ride is around 6 miles each way on-road, with a horrid sleep hill at one end. Some long flat stretches too where I’ll likely reach the limit of assistance – which is my main concern with this bike. I prefer the idea of an MTB for the occasional day off-road but relatively softcore, and 95% of my riding will be commuting.
I live in Australia so choices are limited. Over here the official limit is 25kmph and 250 watt motors but many bikes can be tweaked in post sales to go faster. I’m told some will get to 45kmph for example.
I’m 5ft 5″, 65kg and need to improve fitness. I’m not too price sensitive. I’d rather pay a bit more for quality and I like the battery in frame design (less likely to attract attention).
Are there any others you’d consider above this bike? Optibike and Stromer aren’t available here.
Thanks

8 years agoHi Mike! I feel like the EVO Snow would be wasted on you because traction doesn’t sound like an issue vs. power and efficiency. If Specialized is there (which I heard they have been expanding in Australia) I’d recommend their hardtail Levo model. The battery is built in and very sleek, the motor is SUPER quiet and offers great power. I haven’t reviewed the hardtail but you can see me on the full suspension model in action here which uses the same drive setup.

8 years agoThanks Court, much appreciated. The Specialized range has made it to Australia. The 2016 range is out of stock apparently so will see what the next model year brings in the next few weeks hopefully.

2 years agoHi, do you sell display to Emotion Electric bicycles?

2 years agoHi Sodal!
I don’t sell any ebike products here, it’s just a resource to help people get information and connect with others. Perhaps you can find a local dealer, or contact BH and see if they have parts (since they own Easy Motion).
