5 years agoI have one of these I bought for my wife. She loved it until it started acting up. It drops the assist intermittently and at times it actually feels as if you are fighting against the motor. Still trying to diagnose whether it is the motor, battery, and/or the controller. the representative at BESV seems to think it is the motor since there does not appear to be any diagnostic flashing of the indicator lights. We live near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and are interested to know who is competent in our area to repair Ebikes. I also purchased a TRB1 and so far it has been functioning without a problem. We have only put a few hundred miles on the bikes though.
Very interested to hear back from you on any suggestions regarding repairs and expertise. the bike is only a few months old so it will be covered under warranty. We really like your comprehensive reviews and still think the BESV products provide a lot of quality and bang for the $,
Thanks,

5 years agoHi Mark! Thanks for the feedback, I’ll work to put you in touch with someone from BESV so you can find a shop or get some help diagnosing the hardware or software issue. I’ll email you directly.

4 years agoI have to replace the charger. What should I get?

4 years agoHi David! I recommend reaching out directly to BESV to get the exact right charger. I know that Radioshack used to sell universal chargers, but I haven’t seen as many of those recently and don’t have a lot of experience using them. They used to come with a set of tips and have adjustable voltage etc. Maybe someone in the BESV ebike forums would also have suggestions? Good luck!

2 years agoMy son has CF1 and he was in a minor accident three weeks ago. Fortunately, he is fine but his bike sustained some damages and require repairs. I took it to a bike shop which was listed on BESV website, but I was told that they no longer carry and do business with BESV. I’ve contacted BESV but I was told that they cannot sell me any parts directly because they are a wholesale. I took it to a local E-bike specialist. They told me that they will contact BESV to buy the parts fix it. Well, BESV told them that they need to become a BESV dealer in order to get the parts and the local shop is not going to do that. So, I sent another email to BESV inquiring a list of shops that are able to purchase parts and repair but haven’t heard back. If anyone is considering purchasing BESV product, I would consider consequences if/when the bike needs a repair. It doesn’t has to be this difficult. I am regretting not purchasing another brand that my local bike shop is carrying.

2 years agoHi Elise, that really sucks. I am so sorry to hear that you’ve gone through so much effort and aren’t getting support from the company. It was awesome to hear that one shop was willing to try and even call them on your behalf to get the parts. I haven’t covered a BESV bike for a while, I don’t know their structure or situation, but I know the products are fancy and cost a lot. Perhaps your comment helps others to make a different decision. Again, I’m sorry for your situation with the product and I am so glad to hear that your son is alright! I wish there was something else I could do to help… Was it the CF1 specifically? I can reach out to my friend who carried them and see if he has the part or contacts, what exactly was damaged and needs replacement?
