2 years agoJust as an FYI, the rear hub is incorrectly listed as 12×148 Boost through axle on this review. The rear hub on this bike is a Formula DC-22, which is a standard 135mm QR dropout-style hub.
Unfortunately, the only good references for this bike’s components are non-English websites (hence why I often referenced this review for component specs), but the information can be found on German sites and translated via google!
This is a great, very versatile hard tail, though. I love mine as a commuter and a decent blue-trail bike park singletrack ripper!

2 years agoThanks Robert! I’ve made some adjustments to the specs in this review based on your feedback! I try very hard to get the details right here, for the bikes I’m covering in person, but mistakes are occasionally made. It’s also nice to hear about the different resources available to double check. Wish I could snap my fingers and invite you to meetup for a review. I’ll be meeting with BULLS next week near Los Angeles… you wouldn’t happen to be around, would you? Feel free to text or call me if so, maybe you can join in checking out the new bikes!

2 years agoAs a quick update; I finally pulled the rear wheel off and measured and I was wrong: this bike has a QR 141mm rear. Just as a note, the QR skewer diameter is small (5mm), but the QR Hub diameter is 10mm. I don’t think QR can be classified as “through axle”, though. (sorry for the mixed info)! This rear hub width is an oddball spec (I didn’t even know existed) and hence why I was so confused. I guess it’s going to be a bit harder to find hub upgrades, but at least I know now.
Your reviews are great (helped me purchase this eMTB used bike last spring). I’d love to meet up (I grew up in Ventura county, near LA), but I live in the Denver area now, so I don’t think I could make that work in the short timeframe.
Please feel free to reach out anytime, though, and keep up the great reviews!
