4 years agoThe girl riding the Twenty4E said that she was on Turbo mode climbing the hill but I could not hear the motor at all. I’ve played that segment back a few times… Cannot hear it.
This is in contrast to the Haibike HardFour 4.0 that my wife has. The Habike has a Yamaha motor that is, to me, loud. I always know when she’s switched on her motor even from some distance away.
I wish Bulls would market the Twenty4E for adults. My wife is 5′ 0″ and would love this EXCEPT for the 15.5 mph max speed. I think Bulls, and Haibike, should market these tiny bikes for petite adult women. They are unlikely to grow any taller and will have the money to buy such a bike.
On the bike that the other girl was riding, I could hear the high-pitched whining of the motor.

4 years agoI agree with your insights, Ed! A smaller ebike with a light and quiet motor could be very appealing to women… and they could probably justify the price because they could keep it longer as you suggest.

4 years agoAnd for adult women, that 15.5 mph limit on max speed has to go. None of my wife’s lady friends would put up with that slower limit.
But for kids, I can see why a parent would desire a lower limit on max speed for safety reasons. But as you mentioned in the CONS section, it would be great if it bike can be reprogrammed at the bike shop.

3 years agoHey, wondering what kind of trails do you think this bike could handle? I am looking into it and don’t care about the 15 mph top speed. I do back roads and some light single trails mostly old Forest Service roads. Do you think it could handle it or could I upgrade the tires from 2.1 inch to say 2.3?

3 years agoHi Cynda! My opinion is that the bike is pretty solid and could indeed handle some single track and Forest Service roads. The drive unit and battery are GREAT, and the bike frame and wheels are probably decent, the fork is a bit basic… being spring with no adjustability. But I’d still think it will be reliable. Wider tires would improve comfort a bit, and offer improved stability and traction, so that’s a good part to upgrade if needed. BULLS makes good products, in my opinion, and they have the dealers who provide support and test rides. Try to find one and see how it feels riding! I’d love to hear your thoughts again someday :D
