8 years agoHi Court, Nice review did you get the serial number under the motor to see if it is a standard 250W Max drive with a 48V battery: MM G330.250 or MM G330.350
Distance remaining: I have the MM G330.250. The battery level shows charge remaining, it shows in real time so you can see how far you can go in each assist level under the style of cycling you are doing. I can get 100km on assist level 1 cycling in the correct gear, so I know each bar represents 10km to me with my 35v,11.6Ah.
I reckon the display may be interchangeable with the bbs02 but have not tested, Volton didn’t mention anything about changing out the display. Court, if you overlook the display experience (usability of the display) and took it out of the equation and focused on ebike riding experience where would it rank against other mid drive motors: Bosch,Brose, yamaha, BBS02? 8 years agoHi Daniel! I cannot confirm the serial number as the bike has been returned to Volton but perhaps they will chime in? I was so impressed with and excited about the motor that I shot a separate video exploring it more thoroughly here. I thought the display was alright… yeah it’s a little large but it feels solid and has great readouts :)

8 years agoDaniel, The motor tag is a 330.350. I’ll have a MM display connected to a BBS setup and update. I have a feeling they may not be compatible. Appreciate you checking the new Alation out. Joe volton@voltonbicycles.com

8 years agoHi Joe, Thanks for your reply. Why I think they are interchangeable is on the Colt Surface 604 it appears to use the same display as the max drive. I would appreciate it if you could check! Thanks, Daniel
